Where does USFans actually ship from?

The name suggests a US warehouse and a few days' delivery. In practice USFans buys from Taobao, 1688 and Weidian, receives goods in China — Xiamen according to its App Store listing, Guangzhou according to some other sources — and ships internationally from there. KakoGuide dates its launch to around 2023, on a domain first registered in 2002 and later acquired. USFans claims delivery to over 50 countries.

So a USFans order to the US is a China-agent order in every practical sense: two to three weeks in transit and, since August 29, 2025, duty on every parcel with no $800 allowance. That puts it on the same footing as Sugargoo, and makes the comparison about lines and prices rather than geography.

How to avoid a USFans freight surprise

Gridinsoft's July 2026 review describes the mechanism behind USFans' shipping complaints: the final charge "may be calculated only after goods arrive, are consolidated, packed, measured, and assigned to an available route". Buyers who expected a cheap parcel then see a bill of $100 or more. Sugargoo bills the same way — an estimated weight at submission, then a refund or top-up once the parcel is weighed — but offers a paid step to see the real figure first.

1. Estimate weight before buying. Boxed shoes, jackets and denim are heavy; tees and accessories are light.
2. Ask about volumetric weight and whether boxes can go.
3. Compare two lines before paying; never accept the pre-selected one blind.
4. Price the same weight at another agent. Sugargoo's own example put 3 kg of clothing to California at $55.18 on its PH clothing line.

Verdict: USFans' prices aren't unusual; the surprise comes from not estimating early. Do the weight maths before you buy.

PayPal at USFans, and what Sugargoo accepts

KakoGuide calls PayPal USFans' "primary differentiator", and it matters: PayPal and cards give you a dispute route if goods never arrive; crypto and bank transfers usually don't. USFans also takes cards, bank transfer and crypto.

Sugargoo's own January 2026 payment guide lists cards (4.8% + $0.50), Alipay+ wallets, Onerway (3.4% + $0.30), Payermax (3% + $0.30), Wise and bank transfer — but not PayPal. KakoGuide's June review says Sugargoo accepts PayPal at 3% + $0.30, so check your own checkout. If PayPal is non-negotiable for you and Sugargoo doesn't show it, that's a genuine reason to choose USFans.

Verdict: Whichever agent you pick, pay with a method you can dispute.

Reviews, and moving between USFans and Sugargoo

Trustpilot has withdrawn USFans' rating after a guidelines breach; 759 reviews remain, 729 from the past year, split 74% five-star and 15% one-star. Its iOS app held 3.3/5 in June 2026. Sugargoo's 3.5/5 from 643 is lower than many agents but intact.

One more US-specific point applies to both agents. Duty on Chinese goods has changed several times since 2025, and a line described as duty-free or tax-free is the agent absorbing that cost into the shipping price rather than the duty disappearing. When those rules move, line prices follow, so a quote from last month isn't a guide to today's price. Re-quote before every big parcel.
