The short version

Sugargoo is a shopping agent run by Shenzhen Sugargoo Technology since August 2020. It buys from Chinese marketplaces that don't ship abroad — mainly Weidian, Taobao and 1688 — for people outside China. You paste a product link into its search, pay for the item and its delivery to Sugargoo's warehouse, check free QC photos when it arrives, keep it there free for up to 100 days while you add more, then pay once to ship everything in one parcel. Most parcels arrive in about 7–20 days after dispatch, depending on the line.

The seven steps of a Sugargoo order

  1. Paste a link into Sugargoo's search Copy a Weidian, Taobao, Tmall or 1688 link and paste it into the search bar on sugargoo.com. Pick the size and colour, and write anything the seller must know in the remark.
  2. Pay for the item You pay the item price plus the seller's delivery to Sugargoo's warehouse in China. The order moves from Pending Payment to Purchasing.
  3. Let Sugargoo buy it A Sugargoo buyer places the order with the seller. If the item is sold out or the price changed, you're asked before anything else happens.
  4. Check the QC photos When the item reaches the warehouse, Sugargoo photographs it. Approve it, or request a return or exchange within five days of arrival.
  5. Store while you shop Bought items stay free for 100 days, so you can keep adding finds from other shops.
  6. Rehearse and pack Submit the items you want sent together. An optional rehearsal (¥18) shows the packed box and its weight before you commit; packing costs ¥8 per parcel.
  7. Choose a line and ship Pick a shipping line for your country, pay the freight, and track it under My Parcel → Check Logistics.

Steps one to four happen for each item; five to seven happen once per parcel. That split is the whole logic of an agent: you pay the small domestic delivery for every item, but the expensive international freight only once. Sugargoo suggests keeping a single parcel to around 5 kg, which for most people means a few pairs of shoes or a season's worth of clothes.

Verdict: Think item by item until QC, then think in parcels. The savings come from shipping fewer, fuller boxes.

What is Sugargoo, exactly?

Sugargoo sits between you and Chinese sellers. Weidian and Taobao shops sell to buyers in China, take Chinese payment methods and deliver only to Chinese addresses. Sugargoo gives you all three: it pays the seller, receives the parcel at its warehouse, and then posts it abroad. Its homepage calls it a Taobao agent, but in practice most spreadsheet finds are on Weidian.

The company registered its domain in April 2020 and began trading that August. A UK company, SUGARGOO CO., LIMITED (UK company 15308933, incorporated November 27, 2023), also exists. On Trustpilot it scores 3.5/5 from 643 reviews, with reviewers split between fast refunds and slow support; the safety page goes through that record in detail.

What a Sugargoo order costs, line by line

A Sugargoo order has a fixed set of cost lines. Some are small and certain; one is large and unknown until the parcel is packed:

Freight is the line that surprises people. Sugargoo's own examples put 3 kg of clothing at about $27.94 to the UK and $55.18 to California on the cheapest suitable lines. Spread across eight or ten items that's modest; on a single pair of trainers it can double the price. The shipping and duty calculator estimates it before you buy anything.

What each Sugargoo order status means

Sugargoo's order list uses a small set of statuses. Knowing what each one means saves a support ticket:

Refunds go to your Sugargoo balance first. Sugargoo's refund guide promises them within 24 hours before purchase, three working days once bought, and ten once warehoused, with compensation coupons if it runs late. Refunds and withdrawals covers moving that balance back to your card.

Five first-order mistakes to skip

  1. Pasting a shop link instead of an item link. Only item pages can be bought.
  2. Leaving the remark empty. If a listing has many prints, say which one — and attach a screenshot.
  3. Sizing by the letter. Chinese sizes run small; compare centimetres with something you own using the size converter.
  4. Missing the five-day return window. Look at QC photos as soon as they arrive.
  5. Shipping without a rehearsal on a big parcel. For ¥18 you see the real weight before choosing a line.
