Sugargoo Messenger Bag Spreadsheet: Crossbody Bags, Totes, Backpacks and Wallets
Checked · the Sugargoo Spreadsheets team
The short version
This is the Sugargoo bag spreadsheet: 16 bags on this page and 34 bag and wallet listings in the checked catalog, from $11.88 to $106.15 (median $37.64). "Messenger bag" in a Sugargoo search usually means a crossbody bag worn on a long strap, and most listings here are that shape, alongside totes, backpacks and wallets. For bags, three things matter more than the price: measurements in centimetres, hardware and stitching in the QC photos, and the dust bag and stuffing, which protect the shape in transit — ask for both in the order remark.
16 bags from the Sugargoo bag sheet
Crossbody and messenger shapes first, then totes, backpacks and wallets. Each is a Weidian listing Sugargoo buys from the link; open one on repbuysheet.com for every photo and the dimensions. Use these as a starting point — the source catalog has 10,000+ products and new stock goes up most weeks.

Messenger, crossbody, tote: what the bag listings mean
Bag listings use a handful of names for overlapping shapes. The one Sugargoo buyers search most is "messenger bag" — in practice, a flap or zip bag on a long strap worn across the body. Here's how the rest of the vocabulary maps:
| Listing says | What you get | Check in the listing |
|---|---|---|
| Messenger / crossbody | Flap or zip bag on a long strap | Strap drop length and whether it adjusts |
| Camera bag | Small, boxy crossbody | Inner depth — phones don't always fit |
| Chain bag / flap bag | Shoulder bag on a chain strap | Chain length, single or double strap |
| Tote / handbag | Open-top or zip bag with handles | Handle drop and base width |
| Backpack | Two straps; laptop sleeve sometimes | Height and laptop sleeve size |
| Long / short wallet, card holder | Small leather goods | Card slots and closure |
Listing photos flatter proportions. A bag that looks roomy on a model may measure 20 cm across. Every listing has a size chart or a line of dimensions — compare it with a bag you own before buying.
What should you check in Sugargoo QC photos of a bag?
Bags are judged on details that photograph well, which makes Sugargoo's free QC photos especially useful here. Ask for the shots you need in the order remark — Sugargoo's photograph service exists for exactly this — and check them the day they arrive, since returns are only realistic within five days of warehousing.
- Hardware: zips, clasps and chain links in close-up. Colour should be even, edges clean.
- Stitching: straight lines and even spacing along handles and strap anchors, where bags fail first.
- Symmetry: a straight-on photo of the front shows whether panels and patterns line up.
- Inside: lining, pockets and any interior stamp or tag.
- Strap length: a photo with a tape measure beats any listing description.
Verdict: Photograph the bag the way you'll judge it: front-on, hardware close up, strap measured. If the QC set doesn't show it, ask before you approve.
How do you ship a bag through Sugargoo without paying for air?
Bags are light but bulky, which makes volumetric weight — box size converted into weight — the number to watch. A structured handbag packed with its stuffing in a rigid box can bill well above its scale weight.
- Keep the dust bag and stuffing (say so in the remark) but ask for a soft outer pack rather than a big box.
- Rehearse anything structured: for ¥18 you see real and volumetric weight before choosing a line.
- Use an actual-weight line where one serves your country, so the box size matters less.
- Pack wallets and card holders with clothes; they add almost nothing to a parcel.
Bags can't go on Sugargoo's clothing-only US Duty-Free Clothes line. For the US, US Tax-Free (actual weight) is the usual pick; see all Sugargoo lines.
One more thing to know before ordering a branded bag: customs in the UK, EU, US and elsewhere can detain goods that infringe a registered trademark, whatever their value, and shipping insurance doesn't change that. Unbranded and small-label bags aren't affected.
How long should a messenger bag strap be?
Most complaints about a messenger bag after it arrives are about how it hangs, not how it looks, and that comes down to the strap. Two numbers decide it:
- Strap drop — the distance from the top of the strap to the top of the bag when worn. Listings sometimes give the full strap length instead; halve it and subtract a few centimetres for the attachment points to estimate the drop.
- Adjustment range — whether the strap has a buckle or sliding adjuster, and how many centimetres it shortens. A fixed chain strap can't be shortened at all.
For a crossbody bag to sit at the hip, most adults need a drop of roughly 50–60 cm; for one to sit higher at the waist, less. Measure a bag you like wearing and compare. If the listing doesn't state the strap length, ask Sugargoo for a tape-measure photo of the strap at QC — it's a two-second request that saves a return.
Where to start on the bag sheet
The 34 listings behind this sheet split into a cheap end of wallets and card holders — the lowest is $11.88 (Air Jordan Belt Bags [2 styles]) — and a top end of structured handbags up to $106.15. Crossbody and messenger shapes sit in the middle and are the easiest first bag: soft enough to ship light, small enough to photograph fully in QC.
If you're building a parcel around a bag, the jewelry and belt sheet and the under-$20 sheet are full of small items that fill space without adding weight. Everything is also in the catalog under Bags.
Sugargoo bag spreadsheet questions
Is there a Sugargoo messenger bag spreadsheet?
Yes — this page. It shows 16 bags, mostly crossbody and messenger shapes, and links to 34 bag and wallet listings in the checked catalog that Sugargoo can buy from Weidian.
What's the difference between a messenger bag and a crossbody bag?
Very little in listings: both are worn across the body on a long strap. Messenger usually means a flap bag; crossbody covers any shape. Check the strap length and the bag's centimetre dimensions.
What should I check in Sugargoo QC photos of a bag?
Hardware close-ups, stitching along handles and strap anchors, a straight-on front photo for symmetry, the lining and a strap measurement. Ask for missing shots in the order remark.
How do I ship a bag cheaply with Sugargoo?
Keep the dust bag but avoid a large rigid box, rehearse structured bags to see volumetric weight, and use an actual-weight line where available.
Can bags go on the US Duty-Free Clothes line?
No, it's clothing-only. Use US Tax-Free (actual weight) or another US line.
Can customs hold a branded bag?
Yes. Customs can detain goods that infringe a registered trademark regardless of value, and insurance doesn't cover that. Unbranded bags aren't affected.
