Weight photos or a rehearsal: how Oopbuy and Sugargoo differ

International shipping is charged by weight, and weight is what most buyers misjudge. The two agents handle it at different stages:

Oopbuy's per-item weights let you plan early: you know by the QC stage that three pairs of boxed trainers won't fit on a 3 kg line. Sugargoo's rehearsal is later and costs money, but it measures the thing couriers actually bill — the packed box, including volumetric weight. One Oopbuy reviewer reported a parcel going from 600 g at estimate to 1,000 g at billing and blamed packing; per-item weights made that jump easy to question.

Verdict: Oopbuy tells you sooner; Sugargoo tells you more precisely. Either way, check weight before you choose a line.

How do you spot a copycat Oopbuy site?

rep.tools lists copycat domains among Oopbuy's weaknesses. One, oopbuy.online, scores 12 out of 100 on the Gridinsoft scanner. The rules are simple:

• Type oopbuy.com yourself — not from a spreadsheet, an ad or a DM.
• Distrust other endings such as .online, .shop or .vip unless Oopbuy itself links to them.
• Watch the payment step. Gift cards, a crypto wallet address or a personal account are red flags.
• Check a domain on Scamadviser if in doubt; it takes seconds.

Sugargoo has the same problem in a different form: plenty of sites have "sugargoo" in the domain — this one included — and only sugargoo.com is Sugargoo. Our Sugargoo safety page covers it.

Oopbuy's removed Trustpilot score, and what's left to compare

Oopbuy's Trustpilot page shows 894 reviews, 551 from the past year, but no score: Trustpilot says the rating is unavailable because of a breach of its guidelines, and that it removed reviews it judged not genuine. Before that, rep.tools recorded about 4.2/5 from roughly 797 reviews. Of what remains, about 75% are five-star and 17% one-star; praise is for speed and support, complaints for shipping costs above the quote.

Sugargoo's 3.5/5 is lower but intact. A withdrawn score says Oopbuy's review collection broke the rules; it doesn't prove the service is worse. It does mean you can't use the stars to compare the two, which leaves fees, storage and your own first order.

Moving an Oopbuy spreadsheet to Sugargoo

Oopbuy grew fast in 2024–2025 after Pandabuy closed, so many newer spreadsheets are built with Oopbuy links. They move to Sugargoo in the usual way: convert the column with the link converter, paste the original Weidian or Taobao links into Sugargoo's search, and check each listing is still live.

Clone-site risk applies to the spreadsheet too. A community Oopbuy sheet can be perfectly genuine while a few of its links point at a look-alike domain, whether by mistake or on purpose. Converting every link back to the original Weidian or Taobao listing removes that risk entirely: you then only ever type an agent's address yourself. It also means the same sheet works at Sugargoo, Oopbuy or whichever agent you pick next, without another round of editing.

Going the other way is just as easy — Sugargoo spreadsheet rows are already original links. Younger agents change terms more often, so screenshot your first Oopbuy checkout breakdown; if a fee appears that wasn't advertised, you'll have the evidence.
