How do women's Chinese sizes compare?

Chinese women's labels follow the national standard: height in centimetres, bust in centimetres, then body type (Y slim, A regular, B and C fuller). The letter sizes run about one size small against Western brands:

Typical equivalents for a regular cut. Relaxed knitwear and oversized hoodies often fit your usual size; the listing's measurements take priority.

For dresses and fitted knits, compare three numbers from the listing's chart with a garment you own: bust (flat width × 2), waist and length. Hemlines on models often look shorter or longer than they measure, so trust the centimetres.

Women's shoe sizes on Sugargoo listings

Heels, slides and trainers on Weidian are usually sized in EU numbers on a unisex scale. Use your foot length in centimetres rather than your usual size:

From a common sneaker chart; heels and designer shoes can run half a size different. The full chart is in the size converter.

Heels add one more check: heel height in centimetres, usually in the listing's details. Ask for a photo of the heel from the side at QC if the listing doesn't show it clearly.

Handbags and jewelry: what to check

Handbags, clutches and wallets make up 19 of the listings here — the biggest group on this sheet. They reward a close look at QC: hardware colour, stitching along handles, and a straight-on front photo to check symmetry. The bag sheet covers the full range and strap sizing in detail.

Jewelry is the other big group: necklaces, bracelets and earrings, most plated. Ask for close-ups of the clasp and stone settings, and store pieces separately once they arrive. The jewelry sheet adds belts and watches.

Branded bags and jewelry carry one risk that has nothing to do with Sugargoo: customs can detain goods that infringe a registered trademark, whatever their value. Unbranded pieces aren't affected.

Knitwear and dresses: fabric, fit and colour

Knitwear and dresses are where listing photos mislead most, because fabric weight and drape don't show on a model. A few habits help:

• Read the composition line. Listings usually state cotton, wool, acrylic or blends in the details. If it's missing, note the fabric you expect in the order remark so a mismatch shows up at QC.
• Ask for a flat-lay photo at QC. A knit laid flat next to a tape measure shows width, length and sleeve length at a glance, and reveals pilling or loose threads that model shots hide.
• Check the colour in daylight shots. Cream, oatmeal and grey vary widely between listing photos and QC photos taken under warehouse light; if the difference matters, ask for a second photo near a window.
• Dresses: check the lining and zip. An unlined light dress may be sheer, and a zip that catches in the photo will catch when you wear it.

Knitwear is also bulky for its weight. Two jumpers and a dress can push a parcel into a higher volumetric band, so they're good candidates for vacuum packing, a ¥20 parcel add-on at Sugargoo.

Shipping a mixed women's parcel

A parcel of knitwear, a dress and a bag ships differently from a pile of hoodies. Three tips:

1. Keep bags' dust bags, drop the rigid boxes — write it in the parcel remark. Boxes add volumetric weight.
