Why Superbuy is stricter about branded items

Superbuy has been more publicly cautious about branded goods than most agents. World Trademark Review reported its chief executive pledging to work with brand owners, and older guides describe it refusing to buy or ship some branded listings. In practice some listings a newer agent would process may be cancelled at Superbuy.

That caution is also part of why Superbuy has outlasted agents that closed suddenly, and why payment providers keep working with it. For a spreadsheet of unbranded basics, small labels and 1688 stock, it rarely gets in the way.

Superbuy scores 4.5/5 from 1,030 reviews, with 92 in the past twelve months, and replies to 95% of its negative reviews. Praise is for secure packing and responsive support; complaints are about a limited choice of shipping lines, delays and payment fees. Sugargoo's page is more polarised — 59% five-star, 19% one-star — and its complaints lean towards customs paperwork.

The other practical difference is storage arithmetic. Superbuy's free period ends at day 90 and then charges per item per day, so a parcel of ten items left an extra month costs ¥30. Sugargoo charges ¥8 per order per month after day 100, which is cheaper for a big order and similar for a single item. Superbuy stops at 180 days in total; Sugargoo sells extensions of up to six months at a time, and disposes of anything left once they run out. Neither is a place to forget a haul. Set a calendar reminder at day 80 whichever agent you use; it's the simplest way to avoid paying for time you didn't need.
