The short version

iTaoBuy is a young agent — its iOS app dates from 2024 and KakoGuide places its public launch around March 2025 — run by HK SELL GOOD THINGS TECHNOLOGY CO., LIMITED from Guangdong. Its pitch is reach: it names Xianyu and Yupoo alongside Taobao, 1688 and Weidian as sources. Sugargoo covers the same awkward links another way: its DIY Order form is built for Xianyu, Xiaohongshu and links its search can't read. The differences that matter: iTaoBuy's service fee is unpublished, and it destroys items after 120 days (90 free plus 30); Sugargoo stores bought items 100 days free and sells extensions.

Xianyu and Yupoo: iTaoBuy's reach against Sugargoo's DIY orders

Three of iTaoBuy's five sources are routine for any agent. Two aren't:

  • Xianyu is Alibaba's second-hand marketplace: one-off listings from private sellers, often gone once sold, with the seller's own description of condition.
  • Yupoo is a photo-album host rather than a store. An album usually points to a seller's Weidian store or a chat contact, so "buying from Yupoo" really means the agent contacting the seller.

Sugargoo's route to both is its DIY Order: you enter the product name, shop, link if you have one, price, quantity and the seller's domestic delivery fee, plus a remark with the variant. Sugargoo's own guide names Xianyu and Xiaohongshu as the cases it's for, alongside broken short links. For comparison, Superbuy charges a flat ¥20 per second-hand item.

Verdict: For a handful of Xianyu or Yupoo rows, Sugargoo's DIY Order does the job. If your sheet is mostly second-hand one-offs, iTaoBuy is built for that.

iTaoBuy's 120-day limit and Sugargoo's storage

According to KakoGuide, iTaoBuy stores items free for 90 days, then gives 30 more days before unclaimed items are destroyed: a 120-day hard limit, per item. Sugargoo's is gentler: 100 free days from arrival at the packing centre, then paid extensions at ¥8 per order per month, bought up to six months at a time. Items left past free storage without an extension are disposed of there too.

Second-hand buying makes this matter more, because Xianyu sellers can be slow to post. Note each item's arrival date and plan to ship by day 80 at iTaoBuy.

Fees and delivery times compared

iTaoBuy's App Store listing describes "two levels of fees: product fees and logistics fees", and KakoGuide couldn't find the service fee published anywhere verifiable; app reviewers add that shipping costs appear only after items are bought. Since July 2025 iTaoBuy bills US and EU small-packet routes on actual weight, which helps bulky, light parcels.

Verdict: Delivery times are comparable. Sugargoo publishes more of its costs; at iTaoBuy, make the first order small and screenshot everything.

Track record, and moving between the two

iTaoBuy has a short record: an app from 2024, a public launch around March 2025, and an App Store rating of 3.6/5 from 48 ratings when KakoGuide checked. Sugargoo has traded since 2020. A short record isn't a red flag by itself, but it means fewer reviews to warn you if something changes.

For second-hand buying specifically, whichever agent you use, ask for photos of any flaw the listing mentions before you approve shipping, and accept that a cheap one-off may be sold before the agent reaches it. That isn't the agent's fault; it's the nature of Xianyu. Budget time as well as money: second-hand sellers often take longer to post than shops do, which eats into any storage clock.
