The short version

OrientDig has one of the best review records of any agent — 4.7/5 from 961 Trustpilot reviews, 85% five-star and 3% one-star — and KakoGuide records no handling fee on the common platforms, a customs-declaration fee of about $1.18 a parcel, and 90 days' storage. Two things temper it. Only 62 reviews came in the past year, so the score mostly describes the past. And KakoGuide found no published tax-included lines into the EU, where Sugargoo's IOSS-Free and Tax Free lines are its strongest card. EU buyers should compare the full landed cost; elsewhere OrientDig is a strong, simple alternative.

How good is OrientDig's 4.7, really?

On its face, OrientDig's score is excellent: 4.7/5, level with MuleBuy at the top of the agents we track, and far less polarised than Sugargoo's. Reviewers praise quick answers from support, secure delivery and items matching descriptions.

Three details sit behind the number. Only 62 of 961 reviews arrived in the last twelve months, with the newest on August 21, 2026. Trustpilot notes OrientDig hasn't recently invited reviews and doesn't reply to negative ones. And the complaints that exist mention expensive shipping, occasional slow delivery and one item approved at QC despite documented defects.

There's also an age question. OrientDig's footer claims 2012, but KakoGuide found orientdig.com registered in April 2024. A company can trade under another name first, so that isn't proof of anything, but it means "since 2012" shouldn't carry weight. Sugargoo's domain dates from April 2020.

Verdict: OrientDig's reputation is real but mostly historic. A small first order tells you more about 2026 than the average does.

Shipping into the EU: OrientDig against Sugargoo

This is where the comparison turns. Since July 1, 2026 EU parcels under €150 pay €3 per item category plus VAT, so a line that collects tax up front matters. KakoGuide found OrientDig's customs pages still using older threshold language and no published tax-included EU lines. Sugargoo publishes several:

Verdict: EU buyers: get an OrientDig quote and check whether VAT and the €3 duty are included before comparing it with Sugargoo's tax-included price.

OrientDig and Sugargoo fees

On fixed fees, OrientDig is simple: no handling fee on the common Chinese platforms, about $1.18 per parcel for the customs declaration, 90 days' free storage plus 30 at the parcel stage, and ¥10 per 30 days after that. Items left past the free period without contacting OrientDig can be destroyed, so set a reminder.

Sugargoo's list is similar in size: ¥8 per parcel packing, 100 days' storage then ¥8 per order per month, bought for up to six months at a time, an optional ¥18 rehearsal and 1–4% insurance. The service fee is the unclear line at Sugargoo — 0% according to KakoGuide and W2C, about 5% according to one March 2026 review. On a typical Weidian haul, the difference between the two agents will come down to shipping.

Using an OrientDig or Sugargoo sheet at either agent

OrientDig names Taobao, 1688 and Weidian on its homepage, so a Sugargoo spreadsheet — mostly original Weidian links — works there as it is, and an OrientDig sheet moves to Sugargoo the same way. Convert any agent-wrapped links with the link converter first.

Dispatch is the other practical difference. KakoGuide records OrientDig sending parcels three to five working days after you pay for shipping; Sugargoo doesn't publish a comparable figure, and neither is as quick as KakoBuy's measured one-day median. If you're shipping before a date — a trip, a birthday — ask either agent for the expected dispatch day before paying, and pick the line with that in mind rather than the cheapest one.
